What it takes to be an approved dealer
RarePullz approves every store by hand. A buyer who opens your store page is trusting the RarePullz name as much as yours, so these are the rules every approved dealer agrees to. They are short on purpose. Read them before you apply: you accept them on the application, and the version you accepted is kept with it.
Real photos of the actual cards
- Every listing shows your own photos of the card you hold, taken in the app when you scanned it or with the camera afterwards. No stock pictures, no catalog pictures, no pictures saved from a website or from another dealer.
- The card in the photo is the card the buyer receives. If you hold three copies, the photo is of one of them and the other two match it.
- A typed-only inventory line cannot be listed. Scan the card.
Honest conditions and grades
- A raw card is listed at the condition it is in: Near Mint means Near Mint. When in doubt, grade down.
- A graded card is listed with the grading company and the grade on its label, nothing more. The app checks the cert where it can; the cert number itself stays private.
- Describe any flaw a buyer would want to know about before paying: a whitening corner, a crease, a scratch on the slab.
Buyer-protected payment links only
- The payment links on your store are business links where the buyer is protected: a PayPal Goods and Services link or a Square invoice link. The app accepts links on paypal.com, paypal.me, squareup.com, square.link and checkout.square.site (with or without www in front), and nothing else.
- Never ask a buyer to pay as Friends and Family, by bank transfer, by gift card, in crypto or in any other way that leaves them unprotected. A buyer who reports being asked is believed.
Payment requests go through your own link
- You send the payment request yourself, through your own PayPal or Square link, for the amount on the order.
- You mark an order paid only once the money is in your PayPal or Square account. The app never marks an order paid from a buyer's message or screenshot, and neither do you.
Ship with tracking within 3 business days
- Every shipped order goes out with a tracking number within 3 business days of payment, and the tracking number goes on the order in the app the day it ships. An order with no tracking 3 business days after payment pauses your store until it is sorted out.
- Pack cards so they arrive as described: a sleeve, a rigid holder and a padded mailer at the least.
- Local pickup happens at a show you listed on your store, with the buyer confirming they received the card.
Reply within a day
- Answer a buyer's message within one day. Buyers can see how fast a store replies.
No counterfeits, no proxies
- No counterfeit cards, no proxies, no altered or re-holdered slabs, no card described as something it is not.
- A confirmed counterfeit sold through a store is permanent removal from the storefront. There is no second chance on this one.
What pauses a store
Your store is paused, with a note to you saying why, when:
- a paid order has no tracking number 3 business days after payment;
- a listing shows the same cert number or the same photo as a listing in another store, until RarePullz has looked;
- a buyer reports a problem that RarePullz needs to look into;
- your yearly re-verification is more than 30 days overdue.
A paused store is not shown to buyers until it is unpaused. Your listings and your orders are kept.
What removes a store
Your store is suspended or removed, with the reason, when:
- a confirmed counterfeit or proxy was sold through it (permanent);
- you asked a buyer to pay outside a protected link;
- you listed cards you do not hold, or used pictures that are not your own;
- you marked an order paid or shipped when it was not;
- orders went unanswered, unshipped or wrong more than once.
What happens when a standard is broken
RarePullz looks at every report and every paused listing by hand. What follows depends on how serious the problem is and on whether it happened before:
- A first notice tells you what to fix. It arrives in the app as a notification, "A notice from RarePullz", with the note RarePullz wrote.
- A pause closes your store page until the problem is fixed. Your listings and your orders are kept, and the page opens again the moment RarePullz lifts the pause.
- A suspension closes your store for a repeat, or for a serious problem. Nothing in it is public, your open orders are cancelled and your vouch codes stop working until RarePullz lifts it. You can still sign in and read.
- Removal is for fraud: your store is closed for good, every listing is taken down, every open order is cancelled, and no second application is accepted from that account or that email.
- A confirmed counterfeit means removal straight away, with no notice and no pause first, and the record says it was for a counterfeit.
How to answer a notice: fix what it names, then tell RarePullz through the app's Feedback button (the speech bubble at the top of every screen; it reaches RarePullz from your account).
While your store is paused by RarePullz, suspended or removed, the note RarePullz wrote stays on the Store tab's status card, so you can read it again there.
Your first 60 days
For 60 days after approval your store is on probation: it holds up to 50 active listings and $5,000 in listed value, and RarePullz reviews each order before it is marked complete. After that your store has full status.
Once a year
Every approved dealer re-verifies once a year. The app reminds you 30 days before the date, and a store more than 30 days overdue is paused until it is done.
Applying
Before you can apply, your account needs at least 25 real scans with your own photos (typed inventory does not count) and an active subscription (every beta business counts during the beta). The application asks for your legal business name, your state and your resale permit or business registration number (a business record: the app never keeps a government ID), the store handle you want (it cannot pose as another dealer or a grading company), your Instagram handle, your payment links and, if you have one, a vouch code from an approved dealer, which fast-tracks the review. Until identity verification is in the app, RarePullz reviews each application by hand and it reads "ID review pending" until then. RarePullz may approve, ask for more information, or decline with a reason.
